On Saturday afternoon, five-year old Daniel was playing with his friend, identified as A, also 5 years old, who shared the same floor at Petamburan low-cost apartment in Central Jakarta. Minutes later, A pushed Daniel, and Daniel fell from the forth floor and died on the scene, Kompas.com reported Sunday.
The A family kept their apartment closed since the incident, but on Saturday night, they went to Daniel's apartment to convey their condolence and apology for the mistake their son was doing against Daniel.
Daniel's mother Adila Rahman said that she would not sue A's family for the accident. "I let it go. I let God do what He wants. I don't want to pursue this anymore, let Daniel live peacefully out there."
On Sunday morning, Central Jakarta mayor Sylviana Murni visited Daniel's family to express condolence. Kompas.com reported that Sylviana also tried to bridge between the families of Daniel and A to make peace for what had happened.
Daniel's body is scheduled to be buried at Petamburan public cemetery later Sunday.
