Jakarta Serial Child Rapist and Murderer Admits Killing Seven Boys

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: A 48 year-old gang leader of streets children arrested in Jakarta last week for suspicions of child molestation and murder, admitted of killing seven street children under 12 year old four of who were mutilated.

Baekuni, AKA Babe, was arrested near the Pulo Gadung bus terminal in East Jakarta on Saturday last week, after mutilated body of a nine year old boy was found in Cakung East Jakarta.

According to Prof Sarlito Wirawan a leading psychologist from University of Indonesia who is in-charge in the examination, Babe admitted the accusations and revealed that he sodomized all the victims, some even after the victims were strangled to death.

From the interrogation Prof Sarlito conclude found out that all the victims were not from within his group except the latest victim, which were found headless last week at a flood canal construction project in East Jakarta. He also concluded that the serial rapist and killer was not mentally ill.

Street children were inseparable parts of the view in big cities in Indonesia including in the capital. They could be seen scattered around almost all traffic lights in the capital begging or singing for pennies, except near those around the State Palace.

Kids as young as three years old could jump in and out of the busses in the capital with their friends, sibblings, or mature leader to draw more simpathy and money from motorists or commuters, which could vanished completely during the National Children's Day only to return to work the next day. While those who could not speak yet were carried around by female street performers for the same purpose.
