A Malaysian woman has been arrested for carrying crystal methamphetamine, known as shabu-shabu during her arrival at the Ngurah Rai airport an official said Friday.
Authorities from the airport custom and excise office caught Phoon Yue Chin carrying a total of 0.98 grams of shabu-shabu and three sets of smoking narcotics.
“When undergoing an examination, officials checked her bag and discovered 0.36 grams of shabu-shabu wrapped in plastic,” Bagus Endro, handling and investigation office chief in Bali, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara, said Friday as quoted by kompas.com.
Later, the officials raided her bag and found another 0.62 grams of shabu-shabu and 10 ermine pills.
Yue Chin arrived at the airport Thursday with Malaysia Airlines from Kuala Lumpur. She planned to spend 10 days in Bali. (ewd)
