“…… Should I use Doctors and Drugs to Heal Me or Spiritual Methods?

"Dear Kryon, I have heard that you should stay natural and not use the science on the planet for healing. It does not honor God to go to a doctor. After all, don't you say that we can heal with our minds? So why should we ever go to a doctor if we can do it ourselves? Not only that, my doctor isn't enlightened, so he has no idea about my innate or my spiritual body needs. What should I do?"

First, Human Being, why do you wish to put so many things in boxes? You continue to want a yes and no answer for complex situations due to your 3D, linear outlook on almost everything. Learn to think out of the 3D box! Look at the heading of this section [above]. It asks which one should you do. It already assumes you can't do both because they seem dichotomous.

Let's use some spiritual logic: Here is a hypothetical answer, "Don't go to a doctor, for you can heal everything with your mind." So now I will ask: How many of you can do that in this room right now? How many readers can do that with efficiency right now? All of you are old souls, but are you really ready to do that? Do you know how? Do you have really good results with it? Can you rid disease and chemical imbalance with your mind right now?

I'm going to give you a truth, whether you choose to see it or not. You're not ready for that! You are not yet prepared to take on the task of full healing using your spiritual tools. Lemurians could do that, because Pleiadians taught them how! It's one of the promises of God, that there'll come a day when your DNA works that efficiently and you will be able to walk away from drug chemistry and the medical industry forever, for you'll have the creator's energy working at 100 percent, something you saw within the great masters who walked the earth.

This will be possible within the ascended earth that you are looking forward to, dear one. Have you seen the news lately? Look out the window. Is that where you are now? We are telling you that the energy is going in that direction, but you are not there yet.

Let those who feel that they can heal themselves begin the process of learning how. Many will be appreciative of the fact that you have some of the gifts for this now. Let the process begin, but don't think for a moment that you have arrived at a place where every health issue can be healed with your own power. You are students of a grand process that eventually will be yours if you wish to begin the quantum process of talking to your cells. Some will be good at this, and some will just be planting the seeds of it.

Now, I would like to tell you how Spirit works and the potentials of what's going to happen in the next few years. We're going to give the doctors of the planet new inventions and new science. These will be major discoveries about the Human body and of the quantum attributes therein.

Look at what has already happened, for some of this science has already been given to you and you are actually using it. Imagine a science that would allow the heart to be transplanted because the one you have is failing. Of course! It's an operation done many times a month on this planet. That information came from the creator, did you realize that? It didn't drop off the shelf of some dark energy library to be used in evil ways.

So, if you need a new heart, Lightworker, should you go to the doctor or create one with your mind? Until you feel comfortable that you can replace your heart with a new one by yourself, then you might consider using the God-given information that is in the hands of the surgeon. For it will save your life, and create a situation where you stay and continue to send your light to the earth! Do you see what we're saying?

You can also alter that which is medicine [drugs] and begin a process that is spectacular in its design, but not very 3D. I challenge you to begin to use what I would call the homeopathic principle with major drugs. If some of you are taking major drugs in order to alter your chemistry so that you can live better and longer, you might feel you have no choice. "Well, this is keeping me alive," you might say. "I don't yet have the ability to do this with my consciousness, so I take the drugs."

In this new energy, there is something else that you can try if you are in this category. Do the following with safety, intelligence, common sense and logic. Here is the challenge: The principle of homeopathy is that an almost invisible tincture of a substance is ingested and is seen by your innate. Innate "sees" what you are trying to do and then adjusts the body's chemistry in response. Therefore, you might say that you are sending the body a "signal for balance." The actual tincture is not large enough to affect anything chemically - yet it works!

The body [innate] sees what you're trying to do and then cooperates. In a sense, you might say the body is healing itself because you were able to give it instructions through the homeopathic substance of what to do. So, why not do it with a major drug? Start reducing the dosage and start talking to your cells, and see what happens. If you're not successful, then stop the reduction. However, to your own amazement, you may often be successful over time.

You might be able to take the dosage that you're used to and cut it to at least a quarter of what it was. It is the homeopathy principle and it allows you to keep the purpose of the drug, but reduce it to a fraction of a common 3D dosage. You're still taking it internally, but now it's also signaling in addition to working chemically. The signal is sent, the body cooperates, and you reduce the chance of side effects.

You can't put things in boxes of yes or no when it comes to the grand system of Spirit. You can instead use spiritual logic and see the things that God has given you on the planet within the inventions and processes. Have an operation, save your life, and stand and say, "Thank you, God, for this and for my being born where these things are possible." It's a complicated subject, is it not? Each of you is so different! You'll know what to do, dear one. Never stress over that decision, because your innate will tell you what is appropriate for you if you're willing to listen. ….”

Kill or cure: Danish university turns HIV into a tool to fight disease

HIV particles could soon be harnessed in a new way to treat hereditary diseases and the virus itself. Researchers have succeeded in altering HIV particles to repair human genomes in a process known as the “hit-and-run” technique.

The new technology being developed by Aarhus University in Denmark works by “cutting and sticking” in the human genome using modified HIV particles. The altered particles are effectively transformed into vessels to carry "scissors” - to cut out the faulty part of a genome, and biological material - to patch the hole.

The potential applications of such a technique could be used to treat hereditary diseases, as well as HIV itself, writes Aarhus University in a press release on their website.

"Now we can simultaneously cut out the part of the genome that is broken in sick cells, and patch the gap that arises in the genetic information which we have removed from the genome,” says associate professor in genetics, Jacob Giehm Mikkelsen, of Aarhus University.

He said the new technology equips the HIV particles with both the “scissors and the patch in a fashion that no one else has done before."

Previous research in HIV has shown that HIV particles can be transformed into vessels for genetic data, but the new technique has refined this process and made it safer.

"In the past, the gene for the scissors has been [sic] transferred to the cells, which is dangerous because the cell keeps on producing scissors which can start cutting uncontrollably,” said Mikkelsen. The new “hit-and-run” process uses scissors made from a form of protein, which only function for a couple of hours before dissipating.

"We call this a 'hit-and-run' technique because the process is fast and leaves no traces,” said Mikkelsen.

The process could also be employed in the fight against HIV, researchers say. The “hit-and-run” technique could be used to modify cells to make them resistant to the HIV infection.

"So in this way HIV can in time become a tool in the fight against HIV," says postdoc and PhD Yujia Cai of the research team.

Researchers have made headway this year in the search for HIV treatment. In January, the Immunity Project announced it was developing a vaccine for HIV based on the cells of rare “controllers” who are naturally immune to the virus.

It uses a machine-learning algorithm to examine the cells of these individuals and then to recreate the same resistance in others.

The project’s creators say that a working vaccine could be made available to the public by 2016.

Man develops powerful love of Johnny Cash following deep brain stimulation

Dutch man has sudden urge to listen to country singer following pattern of localised electrical pulses to his brain

Brain implants have had the unexpected and intriguing side effect of causing a 60-year-old Dutch man to develop a sudden and powerful love for the music of Johnny Cash, a new paper reveals.

A case study in the journal Frontiers in Behavioural Neuroscience describes how "Mr B", a married man with a very severe form of obsessive compulsive disorder, developed the urge to listen to the country singer while receiving a form of treatment called deep brain stimulation.

Deep brain stimulation is a procedure by which electrodes are implanted into specific parts of the brain. When these electrodes are connected to an outside battery pack, they send a pattern of localised pulses which act like a pacemaker to regulate activity in that region.

Doctors at the University of Amsterdam implanted the device into Mr B's nucleus accumbens, a part of the brain which processes rewards and pleasurable behaviour – and which, when not functioning correctly, can be the cause of addictive or compulsive disorders.

Within six weeks, it was clear the surgery had been effective. Mr B reported a sharp decline in anxiety and compulsive behaviours. The authors of the case study report note that he began to call himself "'Mr B II,' the new and improved version of himself."

Over the course of the next six months, an unexpected side effect started to emerge. It first happened, according to the report, when Mr B happened to hear the Johnny Cash song Ring of Fire on the radio. "From this moment on," the report says, "Mr B kept listening simply and solely to Johnny Cash and bought all his CDs and DVDs.”

When listening to his favourite songs, the report adds, Mr B felt like he was the hero in a movie, and although he played Johnny Cash songs almost exclusively for the following years, the music never annoyed him.

His favourite songs are Fulsom Prison Blues, Ring of Fire and Sunday Morning Coming Down.

However, when the batteries on the electrode implants run down, Mr B's musical taste returns to what it had been before the surgery: a few Dutch singers, and the Rolling Stones.

Deep brain stimulation has been routinely used to treat Parkinson's since the mid-90s, and was first used for patients with severe OCD by doctors in Belgium in 1998. It is estimated that 100,000 patients worldwide now wear the device.

Dr Ali Rezai, a neurosurgeon who routinely performs deep brain stimulation implants, and also heads up the neuroscience program at Ohio State University, believes that Mr B may always have had the potential to be a Johnny Cash fan, but that it was a predilection that could only emerge when his disorder was being suppressed.

“Whereas before, his severe anxiety meant he was not able to connect with music,” he told the Guardian, “afterwards it could become rewarding for him. His brain wasn't functioning normally before.”

“I don't know why he had a particular predilection for Johnny Cash,” he added. “Maybe it has a certain rhythm.”

Feature: Choosy Australian coffee drinkers not surprised by Starbucks pullout

English.news.cn, Song Dan, Xu Yanyan,  2014-05-29

MELBOURNE, May 29 (Xinhua) -- When the world-renowned coffee chain Starbucks set foot in Australia some 14 years ago, it might have thought that like in other parts of the world, it would be a successful business proposition.

But things didn't turn out as the U.S. coffee giant chain have planned.

After 14 years of struggling to make a foothold in Australia, Starbucks decided to pull out from the country's 1.8 billion U.S. dollar retail coffee market by selling its license to Withers Group, Australia's biggest convenience and independent petrol retailer that also owns 7-Eleven.

It seems Starbucks coffee just doesn't go along quite well with Australian coffee drinkers. "I tried one Cappuccino in Starbucks like years ago, it was watery and very airy, I never tried it again,"Mara Jones, a 26- year-old model, told Xinhua while sipping a paper cup of Mocha before going to an early morning session in a gym. "The Australians have a picky taste for coffee and if you don' t deliver, even Starbucks would fail,"she added. "And it's just not healthy, they added lots of syrup and full cream to blow your mind; it's artificial and it will give you extra weight,"another girl in bright gym suit said.

Besides the taste and artificial flavor, others think that Starbucks failed to blend into the local coffee culture.

"From where I sit, the genuine Australian coffee culture is that you take care of your own coffee, it's very personal, but Starbucks failed to tap into that, it reminds me of fast food like McDonald's,"Jeremy Benedict, 30, who works in a local bank, said while drinking his brew from a local coffee shop.

"Starbucks doesn't offer flat white -- a coffee beverage developed in Australia and New Zealand in the 1980s and prepared by pouring micro foam over a double shot of espresso -- and they call the long black the Americano, that's really funny,"Benedict said sarcastically.

Benedict said that he drinks black coffee as part of his morning routine before going to work. "A great day starts with a perfectly brewed cup of black coffee. This sounds like advertising but it's true for me. Coffee matters a great deal in my life, it enlightens the day, it gives me the drive to go on, it comforts and puts me into good mood when I'm exhausted,"Benedict said.

As to Starbucks'success in China, especially among the young generation, Benedict said the young Chinese coffee drinkers could have been carried by Starbucks' promotional campaign and the temptation to follow the celebrities was just too strong to resist.

"I've noticed from the lavender bear which sells like crazy after some Chinese celebrities tweeted pictures cuddling them on Weibo. I've been asked to find this Bobbie bear ever since then by a dozen of my Chinese friends, until it was banned to be imported to China," he said.

Benedict said celebrity charm doesn't work in Australia."A famous person holding a cup of Starbucks doesn't get that much attention here. Know your coffee and enjoy it. Others don't matter,"he said.

Thanks to the Italian immigrants and the coffee culture they brought to Australia, the local people have cultivated an exquisite taste for coffee. The Australians have been indulging themselves with the most delicate coffee taste for decades.

On Lygon Street in Melbourne, small to medium sized coffee stores run by the second or third generation of Italian immigrants can be seen almost at every corner. "The most important thing for a great cup of coffee is the smoothies and the flavor,"sai dAntonio, a coffee store owner. "It should be elegant, classy and exceptional,"Antonio said." My coffee makes my customers keep coming back, and not because of anything else."

No doubt Australian coffee-lovers will hold their high standard and demand the best quality from any outsiders that want to enter this market. "My grandma told me that life is just too short to drink bad coffee,"said an old customer sitting in the corner enjoying his steaming cup of strong Italian coffee.

Study: Alarming rise in obesity

Overweight people make up almost a third of the world's population or two billion, according to a study in the medical journal The Lancet. Since 1980, obesity has soared in all countries, especially among children.

Deutsche Welle, 29 May 2014

A survey of 188 nations compiled by US health researchers and published Thursday concludes that no country has turned the tide on obesity since 1980. The largest weight gains had occurred in the Middle East and northern Africa.

Worldwide, the prevalence of obese and overweight adults had grown by 28 percent over the three decades, and by nearly 50 percent among children.

Excess body weight had also led to 3.4 million deaths worldwide in 2010, according to the Global Burden of Disease Study compiled by the University of Washington's Institute for Health and Metrics and Evaluation (IHME).

More than half of those persons rated as overweight or obese live in 10 countries, topped by the United States, and followed by China, India, Russia, Brazil, Mexico, Egypt, Germany, Pakistan and Indonesia.

Rising risk among children

Nearly a quarter of all children in rich, developed countries and 13 percent in developing nations were overweight or obese, said the study published by the British medical journal The Lancet.

"Particularly high rates of child and adolescent obesity were seen in Middle Eastern and North African countries, notably among girls," the study notes.

'All ages and incomes'

"Obesity is an issue affecting people of all ages and incomes, everywhere," said Christopher Murray, the IHME director who helped collate the data for the period 1980 to 2013.

"It's pretty grim," said Murray, adding that there was strong evidential links between income and obesity; as people got richer.

Not a single country had recorded a significant decline in obesity and that indicated "how hard a challenge this is," he said.

Scientists had noticed accompanying spikes in diabetes, he said, and rising rates of cancers linked to weight such as pancreatic cancer.

Collated data from 188 countries

Murray, lead author Marie Ng and their colleagues reviewed data from more than 1,700 studies conducted over three decades.

Their most striking findings include more than 50 percent obesity in the Pacific island nation of Tonga and similar dangerous overweight level among half of all women in Kuwait, Libya, Qatar and Samoa.

The study's authors said the World Health Organization's goal of halting the rise in obesity by 2015 appeared "very ambitious."

No more excuses

One of the study's commentators, Klim McPherson of Oxford University called for an international drive to change damaging consumption and life styles that also lead to obesity-related cardiovascular disease, osteoarthritis and kidney disease.

"Politicians can no longer hide behind ignorance and confusion," he said.

Next to inappropriate nutition and too little exercise, excess weight is attributed to stress, centain medications, lack of sleep and genetic predispositions.

Researchers use weight-to-height measures. An overweight person has a ratio of 25 or over. An obese person has a ratio of 30 upward.

(13) Question: Dear Kryon, I’m very concerned about the obesity epidemic, particularly in the U.S. Around me I see people getting bigger and more unhealthy, all for the sake of convenience and saving time. You mentioned at one point a famine, and I suspect the famine won’t be from a lack of food, but from an abundance of food that has no nutritional value.

I wonder how we can honor the Earth by eating nothing that comes straight from it? Of course this involves caring for the lands and oceans as part of a bigger issue and making that connection, too. Is this what it will finally take for people to switch to a healthier way of living?

Its amazing how detached people are from the food they eat. We don’t even honor our digestive processes, the way we combine foods. Whatever happened to nutrition? Atkins is no solution; there is no balance in it. Gastric bypass is all about quantity reduction, not quality increase. When will people make the direct connection between what/how they eat and their health? Is a change in diet and lifestyle part of the upcoming shift?

Answer: The shift has little to do with it. It’s a culture-specific problem and has to do with consciousness of health. Go study the cultures on your planet that have very few overweight Humans. Start with the Japanese. They have some of the same western work ethics and live in very sophisticated industrial-based environments. Yet they aren’t overweight. It’s about the core food groups and the combination of them.

(39) Question: Dear Kryon: I've noticed how many children are developing severe allergies to foods (my daughter included). When I've researched this, it seems that most of the allergies are essentially to seeds, grains, legumes, eggs, and dairy. I've noticed that these foods all hold the potential for life, or in the case of dairy, are essentially used to sustain the first stages of life in an animal's baby. My feeling is that because we're not releasing the life force within these foods (that is, sprouting, etc.), they're becoming harmful to us. I would like your impressions of this.

Answer: For thousands of years, these foods have worked for humanity. In these cases you speak about, the main culprit continues to be the way in which these foods are collected and processed. You won't find these allergies in third-world countries, and you won't find them within the children who work on farms, where they eat the foods directly. There will eventually have to come a day when you relax some of your efficiency attributes and go back to the way food was meant to be collected and eaten. And yes... there are effects from how the dairy animals are treated, too. Going back to some basics will help, and so will eliminating some of the procedures that supposedly create a "safer food." These procedures have instead made them begin to look like foreign food to the Human body.

(15) Question: Dear Kryon, please help us understand the increase of allergies. What can we do to heal this phenomenon?

Answer: Reduce the steps in your food chain, which are adding chemistry to fresh food.

More foreign pharma firms suspected of bribery in China

A foreign pharmaceutical firm was reportedly raided by the police this month while three others were allegedly caught paying kickbacks.

On May 21, the office of Swiss global healthcare company F Hoffmann-La Roche was reportedly raided by police authorities in Hangzhou and computer drives and documents were taken by the police for investigation, according to the Guangzhou-based 21st Century Business Herald.

Roche said in a statement that the company had learnt about the local police visit from its Hangzhou office and that the details remained unclear but it would fully cooperate with the government agency's procedure.

Roche's Nanjing office was also reportedly being investigated by local authorities but the company denied such rumors.

During the same week, the Health and Family Planning Commission of Zhejiang province issued a notice aimed at correcting the misconduct of pharmaceutical companies.

US global pharmaceutical firm Eli Lilly and Company, Swedish-British multinational AstraZeneca Plc and Danish firm Novo Nordisk were allegedly found guilty of paying kickbacks.

When the GlaxoSmithKline bribery scandal stormed the foreign-invested pharmaceutical sector in 2013, sales staff from Eli Lilly and Company, AstraZeneca and Novo Nordisk were put under investigation, but the three companies said it was only for a regular checkup.

In a report by the paper in August last year, a former executive from Eli Lilly and Company was cited as saying that the company had spent at least 30 million yuan (US$4.8 million) a year on bribing physicians to prescribe the company's two insulin medications.

In July last year, AstraZeneca, the second-largest drugmaker in the United Kingdom, confirmed that one of its salespeople in China had been taken into custody on suspicion of corruption.

Sun Xiaoyun, an executive from AstraZeneca's business in China, said in a statement that the company had not received any clear information from government agencies in terms of the investigation, so it could not comment on the matter for the time being.

1st Mini Dialysis Machine For Babies Developed In Italy Could Help Treat Infants With Kidney Failure

Medical Daily, Justin Caba, May 23, 2014

 kidney failure. (Photo courtesy of

Treating infants suffering from kidney complications with standard-sized dialysis machines has proven problematic due to accuracy issues with height and weight. Although the number of newborns dealing with kidney failure is fairly limited, a viable treatment option is still vital to their quality of life. An Italian research team, led by Dr. Claudio Ronco of the San Bortolo Hospital in Vicenza, has become the first to develop a miniaturized dialysis machine sufficient in treating babies under 22 lbs.

"This is a pretty major advance for the smallest infants," Dr. Bethany Foster, associate professor of pediatrics at the Montreal Children's Hospital in Canada, said in an accompanying commentary. "I can't imagine the baby they (treated) would have survived with the current technology. You have to be especially vigilant with very small babies because what you're often doing amounts to heroic treatment," Foster said. "We need to be careful that we don't just do things because we can."

The Cardio-Renal Pediatric Dialysis Emergency Machine (CARPEDIEM) was first used back in August of last year to treat a 3-day-old infant weighing around 6.6 lbs., who was suffering from multiple organ failure, the Associated Press reported. Prior to the treatment, the infant’s condition was so severe that Ronco declared, “this baby was almost dead.” Following 25 days of dialysis treatment with the CARPEDIEM, the infant’s organ function was restored and she was discharged from the hospital with mild renal deficiency that did not require renal replacement therapy. So far around 10 newborns across Europe have been treated by the CARPEDIEM.

"We have shown how the technical challenges of providing CRRT can be overcome without relying on the adaptation of technology used in adult settings, and that a CRRT device designed specifically for use in neonates and small children can be used to safely and effectively treat acute kidney injury in small pediatric patients,” Ronco explained. “We hope that our success will encourage the development of other medical technologies specifically designed for infants and small children."

Currently, the standard form of treatment for infants less than 33 lbs. suffering from kidney failure involves a continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) machine. Waste products from the blood are removed via a catheter that is inserted into the abdomen. Unfortunately, newborns with low-birth weight are sometimes too small for this method to be effective. In some cases, too much fluid is withdrawn, leading to dehydration and a drop in blood pressure, or too little fluid is withdrawn, leading to high blood pressure and swelling caused by excess fluid.

Child Remembers Past Life as WWII Pilot: ID’ed Vessel, Crash Site, Other Details

Huston in a past life, and the details he was able to give are surprising. (Thinkstock)

The universe is full of mysteries that challenge our current knowledge.
In “Beyond Science” Epoch Times collects stories about these strange phenomena to stimulate the imagination and open up previously undreamed of possibilities. Are they true? You decide.

When James Leininger of Louisiana was 2 years old, he began having horrific nightmares of crashing in a plane. The boy said he was shot down by the Japanese, that his plane took off from the Natoma ship, and that he had a friend named Jack Larson. He also identified the site where he crashed, Iwo Jima, from a photograph.

Iwo Jima is an island that the United States fought to capture in 1945. The Natoma was indeed involved in the Battle for Iwo Jima. One pilot died in the battle, and a pilot named Jack Larson was also on the Natoma.

Leininger started saying he was the third James. The pilot who died in the Battle for Iwo Jima was named James Huston Jr. That would make James Leininger the third James if he is the reincarnation of this pilot.

This boy’s case was recounted by Dr. Jim Tucker at the University of Virginia, a leading reincarnation researcher.

One skeptic, writing for the blog Skeptico, noted that the boy was taken to a military museum where he seemed transfixed by a WWII aircraft shortly before his nightmares began, as reported by the Pittsburgh Daily Courier.

The skeptic said this visit, rather than past-life memories, may have caused the nightmares and that adult encouragement to remember his past life may have constructed the rest of the story. The blogger admits it is difficult to explain the names the boy recalled, though he essentially chalks it up to prompting from adults.

Dr. Tucker said the boy’s father is an evangelical Christian who was completely resistant to the idea of reincarnation. Dr. Tucker takes into account parental enthusiasm when investigating reincarnation accounts, and he has often found children with unenthusiastic parents nonetheless have amazing stories to tell.

“…. The Biggest Change...

Old soul, right before you come back into the planet, the energy is completely different at the Wind of Birth because of what has happened in the last 20 years. In this new energy past 2013, the old soul who is coming back with that spiritual library filled with spiritual purpose is comfortable with this process. He intuitively remembers very fully what he has been through. Did you hear that? This is different than the last time! This is a result of everything that has happened in these last years. You have changed the rules!

The old soul is not going to be subject to some of the energies that push and pull a younger soul. The old soul has made up his or her mind as part of the planning about what they are going to do that they could not do before within an older energy. This is only possible since they can now plan on having the spiritual jar intuitively open early in the new life. The old soul may even know this now and plan for this before the end of his/her current life, intuitively knowing about the next life during the current life. This is the difference, dear ones. It's the beginning of "intuitive spiritual logic".

We've told you in previous channels about some of the interesting differences between new Humans and ones like you, who have been born into an older energy. We've told you that the quantum DNA alterations that you have created by living many lifetimes of awakening to enlightenment and knowledge will now allow you to be a very different child in your next life. It will be a child who remembers how to read instead of one who is taught how to read; a child who can walk earlier and talk earlier, because he remembers how. This is because the bridge in the DNA is starting to be complete between what was and what is. What this means is that the DNA is starting to quantumly change into its original state of being, which is that of being far more efficient. You will see it first in the children and, dear ones, don't expect to see it in a microscope. Instead, you will have to eventually ask a sociologist to prove any of this, for it will be seen first as a change in Human behavior.

Therefore, old souls will come in as Humans who will not need to start over and be taught everything from scratch, but instead will arrive with a full load of intuitive past-life experience. As their brains develop, they may even remember who they are [old souls who have been here before]. This is the promise of the new energy, especially after 2013. You're going to see changes in some of your children and grandchildren as they arrive and grow up. The stigma of a planet that is going to be destroyed by war or by God will not be among the energies of the new ones. The promise of a planet going into new, unchartered areas of quantum discovery will be upon them. They'll need a whole new set of tools.

Who Has Gone Through This?

Oh, you have all participated in this wind. Everyone in the room has participated in this. You stood there knowing what the life lessons were and the potentials of what was next due to what had happened in previous lives. These were not mistakes, dear ones. These were the results of potentials and plans you made for your own soul.

There is no newbie here in this room [to be explained]. Not all of you listening and reading, however, are old souls in the classic sense - souls who have been here hundreds of times. But you have been here before, so this counts as one who has walked through the process many times. It's what makes you interested in this material. Did you think of that? There is great variety, however, in the understanding of this knowledge among you. It is absorbed very differently between you. Some will sleep through it and others will be spiritually awakened by it [Kryon smile]. It depends on where you are on the path you planned. Again, each path is unique. …”

"... New Discovery - New Reality

The doctor is operating on a patient. Chemically, the patient is out. Perhaps his heart has been removed and another is ready to be placed into a gaping cavity in his chest. A machine is keeping him alive by pumping his blood. His life essence is hovering above the operating table and somehow he is watching it all. Some patients have reported seeing things that only the doctors knew, and some have not. Those who went into that surgery with an allowance saw themselves on the table. That is "soul communication". The multidimensional part of them watched it all.

There is so much here to look at, and some of it is very provable with time. When the studies begin in earnest, some of these things will start opening up. Humanity is going to have to give allowance to an entirely new set of concepts about life, and one of them will be this: Multidimensional life is eternal, completely separated from corporeal life. Consciousness is forever, and the soul indeed comes back over and over. Can there ever be proof of that? Yes. But many will deny it. When more and more children begin to remember their last immediate deaths and can give facts that could not be known, it will start to be studied by those who are mainstream. More and more children will tell their stories, and you will know that a new chapter in spiritual awareness has begun on the planet. Many will deny what the findings show, for it won't fit their truth.

When the earth starts to look at that, it will begin to turn the corner of all spiritual belief. How far away is that? Far, far away. Don't worry about it, dear ones, for you'll be there. Don't put a time limit on it. When it happens, you're going to be there. The next time you awaken in this [future] life, at many levels you're going to remember who you are. It will be in a way much grander than you did this time. It won't happen later in your life. Instead, it will happen when you are a child. You might be some of these example children!. ..."

The Zhejiang Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce seized the Hangzhou branch office of the Swiss pharmaceutical company Roche Holding AG on the night of May 21, and the company's branch office in Beijing was searched on the same evening.

A spokesperson for the company, Wang Hua, confirmed on May 22 that the administration visited the Hangzhou branch office, but denied that the Beijing branch office was searched. He claimed that details about the surprise visit were still unclear but that the company is willing to cooperate with the authorities in the investigation. The administration refused to comment on the raids.

The Chinese government has been expanding its investigation into the pharmaceutical industry since the exposure of bribery by UK company GlaxoSmithKline PLC in April. The British company was accused of bribing Chinese doctors, hospitals, and officials so as to sell more medicine, an accusation over which the company expressed deep concern.

This kind of scandal is nothing new for the pharmaceutical industry, however. In 2012, the British Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency found that Roche Holding hid 15,161 death reports on its drug Tamiflu. This March, the company was again muddied in bribery charges in Italy, where the company and its adversary Novartis were charged for monopolizing the drug Lucentis.

The firm, currently one the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, was founded in 1896, it headquarters are in Basel in Switzerland. It owns the largest market share in terms of in vitro diagnostic devices, cancer drugs, and immunosuppressive drugs. It fares especially well in China with its cancer drugs.

Herceptin, the best-selling cancer drug, has been on shelves in China for over one decade. Flu drugs such as the controversial Tamiflu are also one of the company's main products. The Cochrane Collaboration, an international non-profit reported on April 10 that not only is the drug unable to ease flu symptoms and stop the virus from spreading, but it actually worsen symptoms. The company responded saying that it fundamentally disagreed with this report.

Based on medicine prescribed in hospitals, the China Pharmaceutical Industry Association calculated in 2009 that the Shanghai branch of the company ranked first in sales with 13.8 billion yuan (US$2.2 billion), its adversary Novartis ranking second with 12.1 billion yuan (US$1.9 billion). Global sales for the firm amounted to 455 billion Swiss francs (US$503 billion) in 2012, a growth of 2% compared with the year 2011, and 98 billion Swiss francs (US$108 billion) in profits, a growth of 1%.

Tesco bans sweets from checkouts in all stores

Move by retailer welcomed by health and parenting groups and backed, according to survey, by two-thirds of customers

The UK's largest retailer, Tesco, is to ban sweets and chocolates from its checkouts after a survey of customers showed overwhelming support for the move.

Research for Tesco found that 65% of shoppers wanted confectionery removed from checkouts to help them make healthier choices when shopping. Even more (67%) said it would help them choose healthier options for their children.

Tesco removed sweets and chocolates from checkouts at its 740 larger Tesco stores 20 years ago, but they will now be removed from checkouts at all stores, including 1,800 Tesco Metro and Express convenience stores in Britain and Ireland. The retailer committed to removing them by the end of December 2014, but has brought forward the move after surveying its customers.

Its chief executive, Philip Clarke, said the decision followed a commitment to make soft drinks, sandwiches and ready meals healthier by changing the recipes to reduce their sugar, salt and fat content. "We all know how easy it is to be tempted by sugary snacks at the checkout, and we want to help our customers lead healthier lives," Clarke said.

Tesco was the first British supermarket to remove sweets and chocolates from checkouts at larger stores, in 1994. The retailer will now test a variety of healthier products at checkouts before implementing the full change across all stores.

In January, Lidl banned confectionary from the checkout at all 600 of its British stores after surveying parents. It replaced racks of sweets with dried and fresh fruit, oatcakes and juices.

Health campaigners and parents' groups welcomed Tesco's move. Katie O'Donovan of Mumsnet said: "Popping into a shop with a small child in tow can sometimes feel like navigating an assault course. If you've made it to the checkout in one piece it can be really frustrating to then be faced with an unhealthy array of sweets designed to tempt your child. It's really positive to see a supermarket responding to the views of their customers and trying to make life that little bit easier."

Ben Reynolds of the food and health charity Sustain agreed. "Parents will be delighted to hear that they will no longer be pestered for fatty, salty and sugary snacks while queuing at the checkout in their local Tesco. We hope that other supermarkets will now follow Lidl and Tesco's lead, and realise that taking action to improve children's health is not something to fear."

Tesco was among those criticised in research published in January which found that convenience stores run by big supermarket chains involved in the government's responsibility deal on nutrition were exposing children to displays of sweets and snack food at the checkout.

Researchers from Sheffield University visited the smaller stores of Asda, Sainsbury's and Tesco in the city and discovered what harassed parents often complain of – that the queue for the checkout often passes shelves laden with chocolate bars, drinks and sweet snacks at children's eye level.

Obama vows action over veterans hospital scandal

Washington (AFP) - President Barack Obama voiced outrage at an alleged cover-up of delays in treatment at US military hospitals on Wednesday, vowing to punish anyone guilty of wrongdoing in the scandal.

Speaking after a meeting with Veterans Affairs (VA) Secretary Eric Shinseki, Obama told reporters he would not tolerate any evidence of malpractice.

"When I hear allegations of misconduct ...whether it's allegations of VA staff covering up long wait times or cooking the books, I will not stand for it," Obama said.

"So if these allegations prove to be true, it is dishonorable, it is disgraceful, and I will not tolerate it -- period."

Veterans have had to wait months to see a doctor at some hospitals, and allegations have arisen that administrators at a VA hospital in Phoenix, Arizona covered up the delays there.

As many as 40 patients were reported to have died while waiting to be seen by a VA doctor.

Shinseki, a retired general and Vietnam War veteran, has faced mounting calls to resign and was subjected to a severe grilling by furious lawmakers in Congress last week.

Obama pleaded for patience as the probe into the allegations was carried out.

"I know that people are angry and want a swift reckoning," he said. "But we have to let the investigators do their job and get to the bottom of what happened.

"Once we know the facts, I assure you -- if there is misconduct, it will be punished."

Obama has assigned a close aide, Deputy Chief of Staff Rob Nabors, to investigate the allegations.

Nabors attended Wednesday's meeting with Obama and Shinseki, who has held the VA post since 2009.

Asked by reporters if Shinseki had offered to resign, Obama said that the VA chief "was committed to solving the problem and working with us to do it."

"I know that Ric's attitude is if he does not think he can do a good job on this and if he thinks he has let our veterans down, then I'm sure that he is not going to be interested in continuing to serve," Obama said.

Arizona's Republican Senator John McCain, Obama's beaten rival in the 2008 election and one of the president's harshest critics on the scandal, criticized Wednesday's comments as "wholly insufficient."

"I am glad that after many weeks of refusing to acknowledge this widening scandal, President Obama finally saw fit to speak about it today, but his remarks are wholly insufficient in addressing the fundamental, systemic problems plaguing our veterans’ health care system," the Vietnam veteran said.

Top ten food corporations emit more carbon than Scandinavia

Oxfam has said the world’s top ten food corporations emit more greenhouse gas each year than Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway combined. The group has asked for a shift toward low-carbon agricultural practices.

Deutsche Welle, 20 May 2014

A shepard tends his flock in front of a factory.

If the ten biggest food corporations were a country, it would rank 25th in total greenhouse gas emissions, according to Oxfam, the aid group confederation.

The "Big 10," which include household names like Coca-Cola, General Mills, Kellogg and Nestlé, emit an estimated 263.7 million tons of greenhouse gases - more than Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway combined.

Farming to blame for most emissions

Direct emissions from the companies themselves are responsible for only about 11 percent of this total, while the lion's share of pollution is caused by agricultural operations in the corporations' supply chains.

Now Oxfam has asked major food producers to work with their suppliers toward reduce emissions from farming, saying that supply-chain emissions are not covered by the carbon reduction targets the companies have set for themselves.

Oxfam said it expected major food producers could cut their combined emissions by 80 million tons by 2020. Such a reduction would have the same effect as taking every car in Los Angeles, Beijing, London, and New York off the road.

Agriculture: a net carbon sink?

Many food companies already regard climate change as a potential threat to their supply chains.

Extreme droughts and floods have reduced agricultural yields in some regions and the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change recently confirmed in its Fifth Assessment Report that the problem is only expected to get worse.

Today, agriculture accounts for roughly 25 percent of total greenhouse gas emissions.

But some experts maintain that if better practices were to be adopted, agriculture could become a so-called net sink, rather than a net source, of carbon. In other words farming could soak up more carbon from the air than it releases.

Some key innovations that could help improve farming's carbon balance include no-till farming and soil enrichment.

Scientists discover why olive oil lowers blood pressure

Yahoo – AFP, 20 May 2014

Nitro fatty acids are formed when consuming spinach, celery and carrots
that are filled with nitrates and nitrites, along with avocado, nuts and olive
oils that contain healthy fats.

The secret to the Mediterranean diet may be in the salad.

Eating unsaturated fats, like those in olive oil, along with leafy greens and other vegetables creates a certain kind of fatty acid that lowers blood pressure, scientists said Monday.

These nitro fatty acids are formed when consuming spinach, celery and carrots that are filled with nitrates and nitrites, along with avocado, nuts and olive oils that contain healthy fats.

Nitro fatty acids appear to inhibit an enzyme known as soluble epoxide hydrolase, which regulates blood pressure, said the research in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, a peer-reviewed US journal.

The study was based on experiments in lab mice, and was funded by the British Heart Foundation.

"The findings of our study help to explain why previous research has shown that a Mediterranean diet supplemented with extra-virgin olive oil or nuts can reduce the incidence of cardiovascular problems like stroke, heart failure and heart attacks," said Philip Eaton, professor of cardiovascular biochemistry at King's College London.

While most experts agree that the Mediterranean diet -- which consists of lots of vegetables, fish, grains, red wine and fatty nuts and oils -- brings health benefits, there has been little scientific consensus about how or why.

Some have touted red wine as a driving force behind the ability of Europeans to eat high fat cheeses and meats while maintaining better overall health than Americans.

But research published last week found that a key antioxidant in red wine, resveratrol, did not help people in Italy live longer or avoid cancer or heart disease.
