Dozens of toddlers poisoned by snack

TANGERANG: More than 20 toddlers in the Neglasari district of Tangerang municipality have been poisoned after consuming snacks at a birthday party Monday morning. 

Some of the victims were rushed to the nearest public health clinic after suffering from stomach-aches and vomiting, while others were treated in the emergency ward of the Tangerang General Hospital. 

Sodikin and Nina, a couple living in the village, celebrated the second birthday of their son, Noval, by inviting all toddlers in the neighborhood to their home. 

"All guests were given cake as a snack," Meti, one of the invited mothers said. 

But soon after consuming the snack, the toddlers began to have stomach-aches and then vomited. 

The police have seized a sample of the snack to investigate.
