DENPASAR: The nursing science department of the Denpasar Health Polytechnic is holding a workshop from Wednesday to Friday, aiming to develop tools to asses the competency of three-year nursing diploma graduates.
Health Polytechnic director IGA Adnyawati said the institution graduated student nurses based on academic achievements and administrative requirements alone.
However, "graduates' competence has yet to be assessed by either the institute or other certification agency," she said. - JP
