Health expert Nila Juwita Anfasha Moeloek was interviewed for the position of health minister by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at his residence in Cikeas, Bogor, on Sunday.

“I was asked for strategies on how to achieve targets set in the Millenium Development Goals in 2015,” she told tempointeraktif.com.

She added that low rates of poverty and women’s health as well as high rates of infant mortality were areas the government should focus on.

Besides Nila, other candidates for the position include the owner of Ancora Capital, Gita Wirjawan, the general-secretary of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Zulkifli Hasan, deputy general-secretary of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Helmy Faishal, and head of the state logistics agency (Bulog) Mustafa Abubakar.
