Governor Fauzi Bowo has urged all community health centers in the city to tighten security following a kidnapping of a newborn boy at Kembangan health center in West Jakarta, on Friday last week.
He regretted that a stranger who claimed she was a nurse kidnapped the baby.
“We have warned all health centers that have birth services to tighten their security to avoid the crime repeating,” he said Monday.
Earlier that morning, deputy governor Prijanto visited Murtanti, the baby's mother, at Kembangan health center.
