TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said he will evaluate the Community Health Insurance Program (Jamkesmas) and the Health Operational Support Program. At a cabinet meeting yesterday, the president stressed that the program should run properly. As such, he will ask the Health Minister to present the implementation of the two programs in public.
As for the Jamkesmas, the president also wanted to see some improvement and an accurate target. Meanwhile for the Health Operational Support, the president said he wanted community health centers (puskesmas) to be reactivated and empowered again.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih said her department will allocate Rp 10 million each for 8.500 community health centers this year to improve their services to the public.
