A
41-year-old Uganda national was found dead in a hotel room by the police in
Kuta, Bali.
An autopsy
revealed that the victim, identified as Magambe Pheobe Annet, had 1,192 grams
of crystal metamphetamine (shabu-shabu) in his stomach, indicating that he
might have been a drug courier.
“We just
received the autopsy report on Saturday, Sept. 3. We thought the man had died
of natural causes as there were no signs of violence,” Denpasar Police
spokesman Adj. Comr. Ida Bagus Made Sarjana said on Monday.
Sarjana
refused to speculate whether the man had been part of an international drug
network.
