How long does it take to set a world record? In Thailand, 641 masseurs simultaneously gave clients massages for twelve minutes to enter the Guinness Book of World Records.
The therapists
in Bangkok more than doubled the previous record set in Australia in 2010. It
saw 263 people being massaged at the same time for five minutes.
A
traditional massage lasts two hours. This time around, an abbreviated version
was used as therapists, dressed in traditional garb, showed off their skills.
The event
was organized by the Ministry of Public Health to promote the Southeast Asian
nation's renowned massage and spa industry.
Guinness
Records representative, Rob Molloy, described it as “an amazing achievement”.
