To
residents of Rushville, Illinois, Dr Russell Dohner is a real-life folk hero.
The 87-year-old physician has been caring for locals for 57 years.
And his
office, directly across from the town square, contains the same phones, files
cabinets and examining tables it did when he moved in.
But it is
the price of a visit that patients find remarkable. Dr Dohner charges just $5
for a check-up - the same rate he's charged for the past three decades.
The BBC
visited Dr Dohner to meet the real face of affordable healthcare.
