Missing doctor`s body found in S Kalimantan

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The body of doctor Urigenes SpA who has been missing since Monday (Jan 18) during a boat journey from Batulicin port to his work in Kotabaru, Pulau Laut, South Kalimantan, was found on Tuesday.

"His corpse was found at a spot between Batulicin and Kotabaru, and he died on duty," the Indonesian Medical Association (IDI) South Kalimantan chapter chairman, dr Muhammad Isa, SpP said when contacted from Jakarta on Tuesday.

A Search and Rescue or SAR team along with local health personnel found the body on Tuesday afternoon, dr Isa said.

According to Isa, on Sunday (Jan 17) dr Urigenes attended a workshop about milk allergy in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan and was returning home in the afternoon to Kotabaru as he would handle patients in a hospital on Monday (Jan 18) morning.
